White Screen of Death issue. Is this device fragile?
Well after having my dingoo for a few weeks I've been growing attached to it. However when I got home from my dad's and taking some things out of my pockets I accidently dropped it. Then a few minutes ago I turned it on and got the WSoD and I can't reset to USB mode or hook the USB cord to it. Any suggestions?
Allright,.. 8 hours later.
USB can connect, computer doesnt recognize the dingoo. I can see the WSoD when i connect it to the computer, but as soon as i pull the cable out, the white screen fades out to a black screen in about 3 seconds. (not a regular WSoD i think)
How much i enjoy the dingoo, i'm not gonna buy another one. The first lasted 4 days, then it totally died for no apparent reason. The second lasted a week and a half, i dropped it once from my bed, it fell 30 cm to the ground, and now i'm stuck with the WSoD. I really hope to get it fixed, otherwise i'm done with dingoo.
Yeah, the Dingoo is more then fragile,.. i've seen tempered people throwing fiercely with gameboys, psp's and even whole nintendo consoles across rooms, and those things seem to survive housefires and still be working.
The dingoo doesnt seem to have been tested upon durability, i think its fragility is an issue wich should have been fixed before they started mass producing them.
We have sold a lot of these, and we haven't had any customers report the problem you are describing. You may have had a bad unit, or may be buying from B-grade stock - I don't know where you got yours from.
They aren't especially fragile in our opinion, and we've had a lot of experience supporting them and shipping them.
Have you tried asking your seller for advice?
I totally agree with Jenny on this one sold alot of them and there not really that fragile no more fragile then any other portable gaming device. I would contact your seller and see if they can warranty exchange it for you.
My kids and me both have dropped our personal ones several times a couple feet drops on carpet etc never had an issue even put it in our pockets except for scratches thats about it. You may have gotten a model what was meant for the China market only like Jenny states.

Oh come on,.. i've never read so many messages from people who had a dingoo wich died within a week, and experienced it twice for myself, to me it seems rather obvious. And i'm not the only one who seems to think that way,..
and no not yet, and i'm not going to ask for another replacement, the shipping costs have been worth a dingoo on itself, its not worth it.
Not a fan of the Dingoo, apparently! :D
Not to place a label but if you buy from a foreign vendor they are a mirad of reasons why it failed it was sent post mail so it could get damaged in shipping.
Two like Jenny stated it could be a grade b model meant only for the china market. As for being a reseller I have been in business since 6/11/2009 in that time we have sold about 175 units none have been returned for anything as of yet.
No malfunctions no damages at all. Most complaints I have heard or read about are from china vendors people have bought from deal extreme etc. The reason they provide free shipping is because they ship it normal postal service which gives no protection to the unit what so ever. Plus trying to get a China vendor to honor warranty is a hard subject to press if you are in a foreign country. Your best bet was to purchase it locally or from your country.
I wish you luck in what ever you choose to do and if I can assist I will try...
Chinavaison seem to be the best place to buy from
@Kwildside Really, so if one of your customers said they dropped their dingoo and now it doesn't work or the screen is cracked you guys would replace it under warranty because of your "superior" versions should be able to take that.
You'd be telling them tough luck, you broke it, buy another one. The LCD's on these guys are pressed directly up against the thin polycarbonate faceplate and if you even push hard where the screen is it will damage the LCD. I bought one from DX and I broke the LCD within the first week. But their return policy is pretty leiniant and they replaced it for free without even checking it. Ever since I have mine in a case and never keep it in my pocket with other stuff or with the LCD facing outward. It has been working great for 3 months now and as long as I baby it it should be ok.
Like with any replacement it's on a case by case basis I mean if the item was mutilated like it wasn't taken care of. No I would not spend much time trying to replace it and contact the customer and let them know it was willful damage and not part of the warranty.
On the other hand if the item was in good condition and the lcd screen was cracked or the dingoo a320 just didn't function yes I would take the time to get a replacement from China for them if not replace it on my own and await a replacement from China if it was going to take too long to get one in.
Not everyone is out the make a quick buck some people have integrity and I happen to be one of those type of people. If I was trying to make a quick buck I would be saleing the A320 for alot more then 82.00 my cost shipped from China in bulk is about 74.50 a unit.
So trust me I'm not making a fortune off of supporting the A320 here in the United States. It's more of a way for me to assist the community and this wonderful item the A320. I'm a true techie/open source geek so that why I do what I do.
On more then one occassion even though I was not the vendor/reseller of the Dingoo A320 I have stepped up to the plate and tried to help people who have had defective A320's FPCGuy is on this forum and I tried to assist him also. We pride ourselves in customer service and customer relations at dingoo-digital-usa.com and I think our rep and kudos and reviews speak for themselves.

Exact same story here,.. drop thingy, wsod, no reset, no usb.
What to do, what to do?
Pfff,...
