tv out cable length

As many people have noticed, the tv out cable that comes with the dingoo is considerably small. I haven't bought mine yet but i'm curious if using a coupler and another rca cable would work to solve this little problem if anyone has tried this let me know. or should i spring for a longer 3.5mm to rca cable?
I found the TV out cable legnth to short as well, but I can say that using couplers does work and I was able to extend my cable legnth by another 4 feet or so. That way I don't have to sit so close to my TV. Hope this helps.
