I got a Dingoo from my boss for christmas and I accidentally dropped it off the side of the bed while playing it and it froze. I left it to drain overnight and when I plugged it in to recharge it is showed a white screen. Reset does nothing and I can't turn it off, when it dies it makes weird crunhy sounds. I've used some of the unbricking software but the computer doesnt recognize anything is plugged in when pressing B and plug it in the USB so I can't even get past step one.

Any one have any hints or is there any way to get it repaired?

Thanks in advance!

It depends on what actually was damaged. You'll have to open her up and take a look around. I'm not an electronics surgeon, but if you can isolate the problem and get a replacement, i.e., the tft screen, then you could repair it yourself more than likely. If you can't, it would probably be more productive to sell the parts or the whole unit and get another one. I'd recommend getting silicone protective skin for it as the grip of it is nice and solid. If you can't find a buyer for the broke unit i'll take it off your hands for 45, 50 bucks. Your thoughts...

Thanks for the advice! I popped it open and it seems the 4R7 coil thing has snapped off. I read up on it and am thinking of either putting a little dollop of solder on top of it or trying to solder a wire in place and bypass it as I'm not knowledgeable enough with electonics to replace the part entirely. Any suggestions?

I'm unsure of how to view messages on this messageboard so I'm not sure if you got my message but if you are still interested in my Dingoo then I have decided to sell it. If you want to email me my email is michael.lambert0@gmail.com
