JXD A16 (broken Dingoo)
I was looking at a JXD A16, (my Dingoo broke) and it says on their website that it can play GBA, GBC, GB, NES, SMD, SMC, BIN, SWF, 16-bit, 32-bit, 64-bit games. Does that mean it can run PS1 games and n64 games properly?

Haha funny story... the front of it had these scratches on it and it rainbowed over the screen (also some light dust underneath) so I took of the back of it. I romoved the battery so I could get to the other screws. The adhesive side of the battery ripped of this coil thing. It now has the WSOD. I was planning on just buying another Dingoo A320 until I came across the JXD A16 (they're about the same price, the JXD is $80 on ebay). I was just curios before I bought another dingoo. Maybe I'll just stick to the A320 family...
I'll most likely sell my old A320 to get money towards a new one.
Haha, yeah, i like to get a rise out of people. it's how i get my kicks...
Anyway, yup, once in a while, those problem units spring up. i have inspected over 27 different units, and i have only seen maybe 1 or 2 units at max, with issues like that...
But yeah...i also have 2 gemei a330s, and a JXD-5000, which the a330 has deifinite software limitations, for example, it can only handle so many game files, within it's built in memory, but, the bulid is superior to the a320. If onyl dingoo digital could marry the build of the a330, and at least retain the software and processing power of the a320, i think that would make a very, very good gaming system.
The JXD-5000, i use for psx emulation, and it runs them pretty well. Final fantasy 7, mega man x5, metal slug x, diablo, and several others work well enough, some better than others, but all were very playable. well worth the $99 price tag.
I saw the JXD 5000 too. On their website it says it can play PS1 games and 3D games, until I came across the JXD A16 and it said it had a wider selection of retro systems. Do the systems that work on the A320 also work on the 5000? I like the look of the A16 and wanted to know if a PS1 emulator would run on it...
Negative. The jxd-5000 wont run the dingoo a320's emulators. Different company, hardware, etc...the only thing i like about it is that it plays psx games out of the box. It takes micro-sd cards directly, but wont hold them in for long which is annoying. I just swap like 4 or 5 psx games i wanna play on it at a time, via usb, built-in 4 gig memory. Other than that, it has a mini-hd out port, which i havent tried yet. On second opinion, i think it costs too much. Its gimicky, all show and not really practical, plus i wouldnt wanna be caught dead with it out in town. It looks like a smooshed psp, extra wide and stuff, like a flounder. Haha. If a flounder and a psp made a baby, then youd be looking at a jxd-5000. Haha. Haha. Blehhhhh. Now i feel stupid for buying it. Still, i do like playing Diablo and Final fantasy 7 while laying in bed, so... ...
Thanks for the info. I will most likely buy another A320 but I'll look more into the A16's possible PS1 emulator.

Wait, it broke, or you broke it? These things can take a good beating. I have units that have been through some rough times and they still run like a dream. It takes a pretty big jackalope to break a dingoo. Do you guys treat your dingoos like you treat your ladies? Kidding, anyway, if the jxd thingamabobber seems that sexy you should just get it so we'll know if it sux or not, or better yet, you could drop that too and let us know how sexy the next new iphone wannabe, chinese pmp knockoff looks compared to the dingoo a320...your thoughts...
