Wonderboy!!! Desperate for an answer
Okay ... so I was given the Dingoo as a birthday present a few days ago and I've managed to figure out most things as to the emulators and games etc. That being said I began playing Wonderboy and when I got to the cave with the Ocarina and did what I had to do ... by the time I came back to open the cave doors with the melodies I was unable to use the Ocarina. I've spent 2 days looking at forum after forum and replaying the game to that point doing different things but nothing is working.
Has anyone played it and can help me in this regard? How do I use the ocarina? In the original game if you had the ocarina you simply stood on the notes and it would ask you to play the tune but here, in the A320 ... nothing is happening and i'm getting rather frustrated :-s
After doing a wiki-research on wonderboy, obtaining and then playing it on sms, smd and gg, i have to say, i'm a bit disappointed, especially when i discovered that wonderboy is actually a indirect precursor to adventure island. Adventure island is a superior game on graphics, sound and gameplay. I understand the nostalgia of it, i mean cmon, i'm a dingoo fan, but i found it too hard to continue playing when i knew, that i could be playing adventure island, or even the wonderful amazing adventure islands 2, 3 or 4 (yes, there is a 4 on nes, its rare, so go find it or shoot me an e-mail and i'll send it to you). Hey sensual_sloth, you still around? I figured out your lil ocarina problem. The game is wonderboy 5 actually, on the sms, not wonderboy. Completely different game. Anyways, you open up your menu, go to items, highlight the ocarina and press the jump button, which for default for me is y. Next, you stand on the notes and push up and y, then heres the correct combination to break the seal: b, up, b, up, b, x, b. Thats it. Then go to the door and push up. Wowww, am i a loser cuz i tripped over that or a badass and i rock? Haha. Great game by the way for its tech. :)
Wonderboy...does it have anything to do with the movie? Is it a game based off of the tobey maguire movie? Man, i LOVE that movie! I'ts so...odd. Tell you what, i can't find that movie damn anywhere. If you can find me a copy on dvd, i'll give your wonderboy ocarina of time game problem a good go. Your thoughts... ...
