I recently got my dingoo and have already updated it to the 1.2 update, and while searching for a theme, i found that after downloading a theme, i would need to replace the items in the res folder with those from the .rar folder.   When looking in the finder on my mac, the .rar ] is just a document.   Can some one help me identify what I need to do, thank you for any help.

My first thought is that you don't have a rar extraction program on your Mac. I use a PC so I don't know a reputable Mac extractor but a quick google search will provide lots of options or if you have a trusted software download site like filehippo you could look there.

Macs come with a really good program called Stuffit, which is great for unarchiving almost any file format. Alas, I do not think it does .RAR. I dunno why, it should, but it doesn't. For these types of files I use a program called The Unarchiver.

Download button is on the right. Once you install it you should be able to just double-click the .rar file and it'll open it up, but if not, put the Unarchiver on your dock and drag the file to it.
