I have tested a lot of video formats and sizes on my A-320 and I was amazed about the quality. Really sharp and the sound is also excellent.
But I'm really looking for the best quality/size settings to encode my DVD's. Anyone?

I suggest you to set the encoded video resolution to 320x240 pixels as the device screen has this resolution. No need to set it to more also because video out to TV is 320x240 too. So, with these settings you can fit more videos to your Dingoo. :)

Welcome to the forum, alfsoft.

Would you like to write a quick guide on how to convert video files for the dingoo a-320? I am sure alot of our users wonders how they quick and easy can convert their favourite movies for this device.

See the "create content" link in the left block to get started.

Or contact me directly if you need some guidance.

Sure! I can write complete conversion guide after I grab my Dingoo from my local post office. I can do it after this weekend. It is needed to be sure, that my conversion options will be acceptable by this device :)
My guide will be for Windows OS and for Mac OS X too.

I'm now testing the RMVB format. Hopefully I will get some decent results and if so I will write a how/to.
First impression: Wow! Good compression and the quality is great. I compressed some South Park episodes around 58mb!

Hi all, I've also tested quite a few different video formats on my Dingoo. I've problem playing mp4 and some of my flv. The Dingoo is supposed to play mp4 as well isn't it? Is there something to do with the encoding or bitrate? I realized all the mp4s i downloaded has the same bitrate (1411) and codec (mp4a). The only difference are the resolution and fps. Anyone has any idea why they doesn't play?
Thanks.

Btw from what i tested, i find that the image quality looks quite the same for mpg, wmv and avi. It looks amazing when i play avi with 640x480 res, but it will get stuck for like 0.5 seconds a few times within a five-minute MV. After i convert them into 320x240 res, they will play smoothly.

Well, i think that only support FLV from Flash 7.0 version as they say in specs, perhaps you try to see 9.0 FLV:

So how is your Dingoo treatin ya? Did you ever get around to creating and publishing that video conversion guide? Did you find a good smooth playing video extension to convert to and even manage to reduce the size of them?
