Hi fellows!

I just got my Dingoo yesterday and was just about to start pimping it with new firmware and Dingux etc...
However I noted a few threads that made me investigate the subject a bit further first and I still have some things that are not clear to me yet:

1: Some people talk about "dumping" the Dingoo before updating firmware. What is "dumping", should I do it, and how do I do it?
2: With the information listed below, am I likely to make a successful firmware-update and Dingux-install?
3: Should Dingux preferably be installed on the internal memory or on a memory-card?
4: Are there any other precautions I should take before I start to mess around with new firmware?

I greatly value your help.

Well i did it and have dingux installed but im not sure what dumping is sorry but jsut wanted to say dingux can only run on a mini SD card, but you can get an adapter and put in a 16 gb micro in there, thats what i have and it works great! also dingux is dual-boot and that means you can boot the native OS on the dingoo just by starting it up, and to start up dingux you hold select while turning it on. But when putting dingux on it made my GBA emulator not work so I use gpSP on dingux. i highly suggest using Gmenu2x on the dingux.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_syUUp94fdY. this will help to install dingux its easy and has the files you need in the info box under the video. also use the idiots guide to installing dingux. http://dingoo-scene.blogspot.com/2009/07/idiots-guide-to-installing-ding... and i suggest using the local pack for Gmenu2x becasue i couldnt figure out how to install it on my dingoo for dingux so that has it already installed in the files. http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-games-and-homebrew/santino-local-pac... you put the local pack on the mini SD card but first do what the idiots guide and the youtube video says to do. make sure your dingoo is fully charged before installing dingux!!! also the zImage file that is in the local pack did not work for me so i downloaded the zImage file from a different pack, try using the idiots guide for finding that. hope i helped!! and putting dingux on it you are doing it at your own risk.
