The pedometer tracks users storing child pornography like pictures and videos and then uploads the data to a central database when you connect your dingoo to your computer.

Thank god smeone made a sex offender joke before me. Aren't pedometers built into mp3/mp4 players these days? Since the Dingoo is just a jazzed-up mp4 player, it doesn't surprise me that it has the software in there.
It appears that the firmware was prepared to count how many footsteps you took when you went for a walk or jog... I am not sure if there is hardware inside that allows the Dingoo to count "impacts", but it is in the software.
Dingoo! (...some assembly required) - I don't know the same things you don't know.
