Personally the most important thing for me would be the screen. The Dingoo has a 240x320 screen that's rotated, I would very much prefer a real 320x240 screen.

Also, one thing that could improve with the DPAD is that it should be easier to move diagonally.

I guess I'll repost my original response here... :D

1.) First of all (and I truly mean no offense), you need to work on your spelling, buddy! :P

2.) The AV-Out jack would be nice at the top... but it just wouldn't work with the internal components.

3.) The Reset-Button shouldn't protrude, it should be left as is, lest you accidentally reset a game whilst in the middle of one! :D

4.) Two headphone jacks would be useless... for whom would the second one be? Also, as I have previously (kind of) said, the internal components/chip construction wouldn't allow for a headphone jack in place of the AV-Out jack.

5.) The power switch should remain a switch, with a locking position (as is), like the PSP. Had the Dingoo been stripped of that, there'd be no need for a switch mechanism period (had the power switch turned into a button).

6.) The button positions (Y,X,B,A) should stay as is - they are a model of the original SNES layout! XBox actually stole their ENTIRE original design from the SEGA Dreamcast, The DC's controller was the one to switch A and B. Sony did the same with the PSX (speaking of the layout, although the buttons are X and O, they carry the same function as A and B).

7.) A metal-based case would actually be much worse then the current poly-carbonate. You can drop the Dingoo, it may crack or chip, but the internals will be secure. Drop it with just a flimsy metal casing and it can dent and short the motherboard for good!

8.) iPod's are made in China - By the way. Don't believe everything you hear bad about Chinese people, they're actually very respectable people. Hell, where do you think your american wal-mart gets all it's goods from??

9.) If you so highly dislike the extra features (txt reader, music player, photoviewer, etc.) don't use 'em, problem solved. :D

10.) Copy/paste??? What do you expect from an emulation device??? It's not attempting to be the world's smallest supercomputer! It's for emulation...

11.) To impatient people everything feels "slow". By the way 32MB of RAM is more than enough for those ROMs... just look at their file-sizes, the RAM could eat them up whole!

Enjoy life, you only live once on earth - slow down and enjoy everything while you can. :)

The A/V jack also functions as a headphone jack. The only thing you need to do is to turn off the speakers manually.

Response to Schmerzlichtod:

6. Actually the X and O buttons the other way around in Japan since O means affirmation (they use it instead of the checkmark) and X means no. For some reason they swapped these buttons for the US and Europe markets.

I actually use the so-called "E-Book Reader" quite a lot. It's extremely handy for me, because it solves 2 problems. One is that some websites (Escapist, for instance) write magazine style "longform" articles that I often would like to read, but for whatever reason, feel burdened to do on my computer. The other is that there are times, like on the toilet, or while waiting for my friends to arrive late, that I need something to occupy my mind for just 10 or 15 minutes, which might not be long enough for a good game session. Reading those articles on my Dingoo is perfect.

Additionally, I made a few abridged versions of some gamefaqs to reference when I play games that I have a hard time remembering the details about. It's not exactly graceful having to save a state, exit, load a text file, read what I need, exit, and then reload the game and the state, but it's better than nothing when I don't have Internet access for the full faq. It came in really handy when I played Castlevania 2 that way.

Clearly, the pointlessness of that feature is subjective. Otherwise, you have plenty of valid ideas. My main gripe about A320 has to be the shoulder buttons.

1. i can spel

2. what do you know, youre only 18, besides I dont car about the " internal components", The AV cable must be on top!! Nomatter what!

3. Reset botton?! almost impossible to press that thang, I would know cuz I installed one on my player, very hard to press on accident, but also very useful and Im not saying this whole huge botton, just a little one thats pressable.

4. Two ear jacks is just extra but very cool, allows for two people, if it's used as an "mp3" player like on the insignia mp3 player. also those things crap out, a second one would be back up, cool, useful, change position, whatever

5. ONE botton for ON/OFF, and next to it the HOLD switch, very usefull and out of each others way. Like that video on youtube , G Peter, made a botton for the ON/OFF. Easier to press then to slide.

6. "The button positions (Y,X,B,A) should stay as is". YES, they should. But the b should be enter and A should be back and it dosnt matter who copied who. xbox, did a good job and everyone is used to that key combinabtion.

7. "flimsy metal casing" wow when you put it like that. lol IPOD has a flimsy metal case and with no damaging dents. dingoo's plastic feels like crap, I mean you can twist that player.

flimsy, what!?! you describe plastic as flimsy, but metal = hard, built quality! that you can feel.

8. oh im getting bored... wal-mart has under-paid workers, over seas.

I didnt say chinises are bad, just everything that I bought from china or honk kong was crap!

9. ok.. hmm. Im just saying that I thought this player would be so cool and replace my old mp3, but its uncomfy and no!..., problem not solved, it's still crappy!

10.  yeah youre right, thats too much for this player, i mean, might as well have a move feature (its possible) maybe rename, maybe... and theres nothing super computer about that.

11. youre right (for the first time), 32 mb of ram is great! and I don't think that Im "impatient" I just hate that when you try to forward video and it skips to the next video by accident or changing to the next song takes like 2 secs. It's just annoying. Text reader - is it just me? I can't understand anything. i dont know its just not fun to use. But the most thing that i dont like about it, is that its soo bigg and that battery is HUGE! its like an slim ipod size

This player is just for emulating games.. everything else is just extra and ok

I wanna sell mine, had it for a week, like NEW, its Black, no dingux v1.03TD-3, $80, everything included! Location: WA Seattle, Email: littlevlad@ymail.com

 @Harteex

True, it's capable of that as it exports R-Audio, L-Audio, and Video. But that's not the point of it. You can potentially fry it doing that.

See, most devices with AV-Out jacks are fully capable of just exporting to heapdphones, via an option configuration by setting to stereo or mono sound. I think the Dingoo is safely capable of such a thing if you manually turn off the speakers. I hadn't seen that option before I had looked just now. But, the way the Dingoo is naturally set up, it will try and also export video through to your headphones, which is the dangerous part.

Really? I hadn't known that. I'm much more familiar with the European and american markets, needless to say. :D

1.) I'm not even going to say anything, LOL.

2.) Knowledge shouldn't be limited by age. I graduated HS at 16 (No, not from a GED, I just kept moving up faster than others), I speak 3 languages fluently, I'm electronically inclined I've been building circuits since I was a wee child. So, I think I may know what I'm talking about... But, you're only 18 so what would you know.

3.) It's not meant to be pressed constantly hence why it's an internal button that requires a point object of some sort to click it. Installing a button isn't shoving something in the whole so you could always reach the button. If that's your idea of "installation," you sure need to head back to school, buddy.

4.) That's why Y-Adapters are made...

5.) The purpose of him creating that was to do the exact same function as clicking start+select whilst being in-game, because he didn't like that for whatever reason.

6.) If you agree that they should stay the same, why should the functions of the buttons change? That's utterly nonsensical.

7.) iPods use thick (for their purpose) stainless steel as their metal, with plastic support 'beams' on the inside. Do you really think the Shenzhen manufacturers could afford that, and keep the price so low? Nope. Had metal been incorporated by 'cheap china,' it would have likely been flimsy (doubtfully re-enforced) aluminium.

8.) Well, had I purchased good from an imaginary place like honk kong, I wouldn't expect them to be well made either.

9.) Well, incidentally, you thought wrong.

10.) Sure it's possible, that's why it came with a USB cord. I didn't say those were sole-supercomputer functions, mate.

11.) Didn't you just say I was right in the previous point... You don't think very logically, do you? You think that now, eh? Moments ago you had felt it was non-existent.

Why does this player feel so slow, I don't feel the 32mb of Ram, everything is so slow to me but it is just another cheap player from china

That's what happens when you click twice. Electronics don't make mistakes, people do. I believe you're alone in not 'understanding anything'. Garsh certainly utilises it. Reading usually is a pain for uneducated people, I guess I see where you're coming from. Personally, I enjoy broadening my knowledge, and reading is one of the best methods to do so. It's barely larger than the GBMicro, and rightfully so, the size is perfect.

Now you replicate MY statement as your own? After arguing how you think all the other features should be more thorough??? LOL

-no, i think the he means the player cant be changed

--oh like those toys from the dollar store, oh man, theyre so cheap!

-tell me about it, i just bought a player a week ago and tried to mod it, like this thing just kept on freezing on me

--oh, i had that, what did you do??

-what any normal person would do; I made a little metalic pin from a nail that I sanded down and made it so it prodrude just enough from the reset hole, since the hole is so thin, you can't even get a pencil to fit in there.

--whoa, smart

-yeah I know...

--what did that guy say about it?

-oh, hes not a guy

--what!?

-yeah I know, pretty wierd, anyway I think shes just confused, she says there no point in that "botton" well thats what i call it, and then she says im dumb.

--What!?, your not dumb, you know 2 languages fluently and you got the most ripped body! better than most americans, now why you wasting time with this crap!?

-I don't know and thanks, but I still think shes confused, probably from reading too much, Overload system Overload lol, like she goes off saying that a plastic case is better then a metalic one

--lol, Now that is a lie!... go on...

-ipods use a metalic case but the support beams are plastic to save money

--thats dumb, ipods are so over priced, they could afford just a little most metal, besides aren't ipods fully inclosed, eliminating the need for "beams"

-thats not the point, the case is metal, thats what makes the ipod so strong

--true.. that does sound nice, most of the players I had before were just plastic but they don't break that often.

-anyway but I think it's kinda funny, like I was being sarcastic with her and she did not get it at all.

--lol germans probably don't have a sence of humor

-no I think it's just this one

--but you said she/he was smart, right?

-well, thats what she, remember hes a she, claims, but you never know, it could be just some 40 year old guy with all that life long knowlegde.

--oo, that sounds very and even most likely possible, and if she was youngh and getting married like you said, you'd thinks she would have better things to do

-huh, thats a good point, i didn't think about it like that, but "she" does have some good points, anyway I got to go, we'll talk later

--Hey you know what?, im coming over, I wanna check this thing out.

-ok, whatever, i wanna show how annoying the a,b bottons are

--are taking about how theyre flipped around!?, I hate those! theyre so confusing!

-I know! and thats another thing "she" argues about.... you know, im starting to think she just likes to argue, i mean "she" is a "she", am i right? lol

--lol, alright, see you soon, and god bless that super smart german girl out there somewhere.

-lol, peace
