Hey everyone! Let me just start off by saying that one of the attractive things about this little device was the amount of active support in an online community like this. It was a definite selling point, and I'm glad to join.

That being said, my SD card is coming thursday, and I plan to install Dingux via the complete idiots guide and some patience. Then I want to run SNES, NES, GB/GBC, GBA, GEN, Sega CD, Game Gear, MAME, NGPC, and the CPS arcade system emulators on this little guy. I will spend a lot of time perusing the interwebs and these forums trying to figure out where to get what, but I'd appreciate any tips and help from any of the Dingoo veterans on these boards to start me off in the right direction. Thanks again!

Hi there!

Everyone here is dead helpfull & nice :P Wish I would have found this forum when I first got given my dingoo, as it would have saved a few headaches init.

I'd advise you to update the firmware, as the unoficial one is well better than the out of the box one.

I've not bothered with the dingux as I intend to buy a wiz for mame emulation and 16 bit home computers and whatnot.

As for the SNES, NES, GB/GBC, GBA, GEN, Game Gear, NGPC & CPS not forgetting Lynx roms, it'll run em all WITHOUT the dingoo linux. Hence why I'm not that fussed on the mame. & theres only like, three good games for the Sega CD. ;)

Anyways, nice to meet you!

Hey man, mice to meet you too.

I updated the firmware to V1.2 from the link on this site, but if i'm not mistake i think that's the official Dingoo firmware. Is there another, better version avaliable? and yeah i've read about the Wiz but I want to run MAME on the Dingoo as well so I think I'll try linux because it looks like (youtubed it) it operates pretty smoothly.

And yes Sega CD only had about 3 good games hahaha. But those are a key part of my childhood, and I need them like a fat kid needs cupcakes.

Thanks again!

Yeah :) I'm gonna do the dingux and youtoob it in the new yaer, coz, then if I brick it, my new one will be on the way ! hehehe and also, it will be funny as it took me three goes to upgrade my firmware :P

I used the unoficial one from this site, and it works pretty cool.

LOL I paid IRL money for a MEGACD. Had every bloody game for the bugger. And the 32X too. heheh

I change my opinion. Four good games:

"Road Avenger" "Sonic CD" "Sensible Soccer CD" & "Star Wars Chess" AMIRITE?

Sooooooo I've been trying to get Dingux fully operational now for hours. I've been all over the dingoonity forums scanning the same problems people are encountering. However, I've tried all the reccomended tricks and my system is stuck at the Dingux (www.dingux.com) boot screen and will not process further.

I've had it for the night, will try some more things tomorrow, but I'm curious, if I want to return back to running the native Emu's, how do I go about uninstalling the Dingux files? I know I can just delete the files from my SD card, but after flashes the firmware, there has to be more to it than just that. Any help? Like is there a way to just completely wipe my whole system and start over again?! Any advice would be appreciated and thanks again!
