Dingoo a330
I've heard tale of a new Dingoo/Gemei from Dingoo-scene.

My Dingoo a320 is days from arriving at my house, according to online tracking, and now I'm wondering if I just wasted my money... I guess not really wasting it, but if I could have spent it more wisely. I dunno, I've been waiting just about a month for my Dingoo though (ordered from DX) and I'm just ready to have one. Still, I can't help but wonder about this new one
Thoughts?
so any idea if this thing is actually gonna go into production? it looks pretty sweet, better shoulder buttons, and i'd gladly welcome a button fix! D pad looks better too...
The last rumored sucessor machine (remember the mockup with the rounded corners) was confirmed as a fake. As for this one...
Heck. There will always be something newer and better. As long as you can get 6 months of value out of the current model number, there is no harm or foul.
The bigger question you should be asking is where this is all heading. I see Dingoo and it's elk as rightfull successors to NetBook. Given enough time, they will chew away at those niche products. We simply lack docking capability. I envision a Dingoo of the future that literally slides and attaches to the side of a USB enabled LG type monitor. On the go computer Linux power on the tram/bus and then come home or to the office with a full size keyboard and monitor. That is where we are headed.
Dingoo A510 business edition? Not so crazy really. You keep all of the virtues of the low cost Dingoo in tact and place the more expensive attributes such as USB Hub, HDMI out, and Wireless B/G/N on the docking station.
You get your game machine to play Tron and Pac Man; while the others get a platform capable of running Safari and OpenOffice.
You're crazy. haha
I see the Dingoo reaching N64 Emulation along with some consoles and arcades before it. I think it will get to running those at near perfection and then stop. The chances of it actually competing power-wise with big name portables is slim. The point of this is for a cheap, good value product that people will buy. We're not asking for some strange chinese games, but for quality emulation. At least that's my view on it. It's hard to tell though, and I could be completely wrong.
Perhaps. I tell ya what. Set yourself a calendar a reminder for a year from now. Come back to this thread and we will see. Who knows. Really this is not so much about the A320, A330, or A510. This is about the eventual market consolidation of these first gen Chinese knock offs that WILL eventually gain enough horsepower to handle a decent Linux load. That will happen. What is uncertain is if somebody connects the dots and creates a docking station to support that power beyond being a toy.
