Segmentation Fault - Every time I exit an app
I am getting that error, every time I exit an application, like a rom, or an emulator.
I know that it is some kind of read write error, but I cant figure how to fix it.
I am using gmenu2x, dingux, last version.
Thanks.
Yes.
I format it, using cmd commands.
Most of games work for a while, until the moment that I exit an app and segmentation fault error appears.
I mean, after I format it, I play Doom for example, save, and Exit; then Duke Nukem, I exit, and suddenly it appears the segmentation fault error. So I have to reset it with the Reset button. Do it, and it starts appearing that error with all the applications, even when I select POWER OFF.
any idea?
Do you have a HK version? Look at the serial number to see if it has a HK at the end. If it doesn't, it still doesn't mean you dont have a HK version though. After a retailer questioned them about the HK version they started to omit the the HK on the serial nmbers. The Non HKs have one 4GB memory chip and the HKs have two 2GB chips. You'll have to open her up to be sure.
For some reason the HK versions have issues with apps and emulators. Someone pinned it down to a line of code and modified them. You can download this file to fix. www.megaupload.com/
sorry,but I don't think it's the matter of version
Its serial finishes with HK, and it has 4GB XD (it's true). I'll install that fix and see what happends.
EDIT: Inside the file, there are just emulators files, and roms. I am getting this "Segmentation fault" error, with any app. I think it has something to do with dingux code, and problems accesing the memory stick.
"A segmentation fault occurs when a program attempts to access a memory location that it is not allowed to access, or attempts to access a memory location in a way that is not allowed (for example, attempting to write to a read-only location, or to overwrite part of the operating system)."
Is the SD card switch set to lock?
It does not have any BLOCK/UNBLOCK switch :S.
Is there any other type of Format I can do? Instead of: format x: /FS:fat32 /A:32K

Have you tried formatting the sd card?
