HELP PLEASE!
I have a dingoo from think geek and its great, but when I tried to put custom firmware on it I bricked on the white screen of death. Then I found the right unbricker tool and it was working, it had the "Firmware Upgrade" screen, but it stopped flashing on two lines of out-put and the computer became unresponsive. I let it run for over 14 hours and nothing had changed. I pulled the cord out and the computer ran fine again, but my dingoo was stuck on a black screen with a blue paw in the middle. The computer is not mounting it, and in xp and mac it makes the computer un-responsive. I found it in Disk-Utility on Ubuntu but it is not mountable. It sais the partition is "unreconised or unused". I would really love to have my dingoo back, so could somebody please help!
I have one computer running mac osx that can run a virtual machine of xp but that a bit tedious and one computer runnning ubuntu, (karmic koala).
Thanks, but its a bit late for that now, but when its fixed i'll do that.
You'll need to run the Unbricker Tool with administrator rights from the windows patform for things to work properly. (Right click app > Run as Administrator). I had this issue the first time using the Unbricker tool, but it works fine now. You'll need to wait for the app to display 3 lines of (unfortunately) illegible text before the flashing process is complete.
Already am admin, unfortunatly. And also tried running as. It's probably just VMWare Fusion or the fact I'm running it on a mac. Wil try to get a hold of a good windows xp computer, though further comments will be appreciated.
All fixed around... hm... january, march. As soon as i tried on a native xp it worked, so happy! though im back to original firmware, games wouldnt play for some reason on custom firmware... dont know why. by the way could i transfer my saves from the original firmware emulators to the custom firmware emulators? or are they the same ones?...

Don't know if it is Mac OS which make problems ? I'm running Vista and XP.
Have you tried Pof's firmware http://www.dingoo-digital.com/downloads/firmwares/pof-has-built-new-official-dingoo-firmware-and-released-something-which. With it you can overclock and use custom themes.
The only thing you have to do is to drag and drop the files on the root of the internal memory of your dingoo, to switch it off, press and hold ''D-pad'' down and you switch it on and normaly the dingoo will update.
I used this firmware and method and it worked for me.
Hope this helps
