hey all i just ordered myself a new dingoo and want it to be the best that it can be! It seems that dingux is the way to go but i have a few question/concerns. Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

1)Is it easy to install? and easy to use?

2)If i mess anything up is it easy to fix?

3)Does the installation include the improved super nintendo emulator and the mame emulator?

4)Is a working knowledge  of linux necessary? Or is using it pretty self explanitory?

As i said any help would be amazing. Thanks!

1) Yes and No. Some have problems and some don't.

2) You can simply re-do the process and start again. Its fairly easy to follow.

3) You will need to download a local pack and check for new releases of the emulators.

4) It's just another version of Linux.

Dingux is covered in more detail here:

thanks for the help.  I basically have no knowledge of linux at all, will this make it difficult to use dingux?

No. You're going to be interfacing with it through a simple gui. Gmenu2x. Or dmenu. Gmenu2x is much better and simpler, though.

You don't need to know Linux. All you need to do is create folders and locate files.

Most emus have readme docs explaining how to install things.

Btw, why was my Dingux instillation guide removed?

Did you find it unnecessary or useless?

Yeah, you can find all the info you need at Dingoonity, but it's not all in one place. And there was no thread here for it, I don't think.

Make a better, more informative one then. So people don't have to keep asking about it.
