If you are trying to play them on the Dingoo Native OS side they won't be playable as the require a special chip that is not emulated in the native emulator

I have no problems.

Are you sure you are using the latest version of SNES9x4D on Dingux?

jesse? no offence or anything but are you on bloody comission? every answer to every question is "dingux", its like dingux tourettes, again no offence, but i'd rather people develop and push the native capibilities.

I would like more people to develop for native too. I ultimately don't care which OS the content comes on, since I have the good sense to take advantage of both. And I probably recommend Dingux a lot because it's the only answer to alot of the Dingoo's problems at the moment.

Exactly. You can't ignore the reality that pretty much all of the real forward movement in application development for the Dingoo has been a result of Dingux. SNES emulation is a prime example: A new version of the Dingux build of SNES9X has just been released which supports Star Fox, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, the Super Mario RPG, etc. The SNES emu for the native OS has been stagnant pretty much since the device was released.

I'd love to see emulation on the native OS improved, especially since Dingux doesn't currently allow for TV output capability. However, I suspect that the chipset changes and resulting compatibility failures left a bad taste in the mouths of some of the developers of the native OS third-party emus and apps; perhaps this will change with the release of the A330, but we won't know for a few weeks yet. Let's not forget that Dingoo Tech shot themselves in the foot re Neo Geo emulation on the native OS because their own emulator fails on their current hardware. It'd be great if someone could pick up the ball on that one. And then there are the GBA emu problems...

Dingux isn't something to be afraid of, nor are we talking about creating a "Mac vs. PC" style conflict. Dingux is an opportunity for those who take the time to do the research and shell out some bucks for a good SD card. Being able to play Doom on my Dingoo with my full wad collection in place was worth the effort in itself. And don't get me started on the retro-goodness of MAME4All...

It's way easier to create software for a common kernal, such as linux. But all the code for the native dingoo firmware isn't yet released by dingoo digital (China), so it is way harder to create or port programs from scratch.

im not affraid you mook, i don't want to bloody use it, why is that so hard to believe? and doom? seriously? doom? not a compelling point im affraid, unless theres a hidden mouse and keyboard pot on my dingoo i aint found yet, all joking aside, im not interested in voiding my warranty (even though the official supplier here in the uk practically forces it upon you, hmmm wonder why?) just to use m.a.m.e, gp32x is the linux open source handheld, dingoo is to me, more the mp3 player of emu handhelds, cheap, versatile, and easy to use. so thats why ill never use dingux, no matter if every member of the community tells me its the best thing ever, and on the pc mac thing, are peope still that petty? all i do is back up my own personal opinion, not follow sheepishly. laters mate.
