New native Gameboy & Gameboy color emulator (GNUBOY)
After browsing on THIS site, i had found a beta version of a gameboy and gameboy color emulator.
However, this emu was very poor, cause it had no sound.
After some googling i have found another
Gameboy and Gameboy color emulator for the native Dingoo. It is a dingoo port of Gnuboy.
it supports files using the *.gb and *.gbc extension. The dingoo port of Gnuboy also has very good sound support!
i think, this is the best GB and GBC emulator out there for the Dingoo. This emu also has been patched, cause the older versions had memory leaks on newer dingoo's so that is fixed as well! this one is a must have!
how to install ?
------------------------
copy GNUBOY.SIM in the A:\\GAME\\ directory, it MUST be placed there and nowhere else !
Once you did this you can copy over roms to any directory you like on the dingoo. The roms
must be unzipped and have either a .gb or .gbc extention.
how to play ?
---------------------
Once you copied your games and the sim file just use the "intresting games" menu to browse to the roms
and run them.
The default keys are the same as on the gameboy being:
A : A
B : B
Select : Select
Start : Start
L : QuickSave to selected saveslot
R : QuickLoad from selected saveslot
Y and X does nothing !
If you have any other gameboy emulator in the /game folder, please remove it first, before you place gnuboy.sim in there.
You can download the emulator from here: (also please read the readme.txt file wich is in the zipfile)
Then why isnt Gnuboy listed as THE gameboy emulator in the emulators "download" section?
i would take the other one out of that list and put Gnuboy as default.
Because GNUBoy has some issues with freezing once you exit one game and try to play another currently...
Also (and i'm not entirely sure on this) but they probably don't own the rights to host the gnuboy and they'd rather try their hand at one and just link to gnuboy anyways.
Use the gnuboy located in the HKfix pack

if you actually read the description for this site gameboy emulator you would have seen that they admitted it was poor and recommended gnuboy as a better alternative.
