Hi all. Received my dingoo a few days ago. Have a problem with Neo Geo games (using native emulator). Some neo geo games typically have parts of the game that zoom in and out of the screen (e.g. spaceship intro in last resort, 1st dino boss in prehistoric isle2 breaking into wall etc). Everytime this happens, the sprite/part of game doing so (zooming in and out) becomes very blocky and distorted. Nothing else in the game gets affected. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?  I downloaded the right roms so not a case of bad roms. Tried downgrading all the firmware from 1.2 to 1.1 to 1.03 - problem persits. Tried converting a rom using 1.3 converter - same bug. Also tried using overclock apps but they just freeze my dingoo (requires reset). Any ideas?

I too am having this exact same problem.

does anyone out there know a solution?

the snes/sfc emulator seems to do scaling just fine ...

this issue is especially distracting with fighting games like the Samurai Shodown series and others where the camera zooms in and out making the whole screen a mess of blockyness. even Top Players golf, a very small file and one of the 1st Neo Geo games (1990!) has this same problem.

Looks like it is a very isolated problem as we're the only two to have reported this. I have a Dingoo with an HK serial number. Is yours HK as well?  Mine also hates the overclock apps, is it the case with yours as well?

Thanks for sharing your experience however I never installed dingux. This 'bug' started off from day 1 and I still am not able to pin point the cause.

Hello,

I have the same problem. I tried replacing the mvs.sim and neogeo.zip with the one from the provided link, but it still has problems in Samurai Shodown. I use the rom from the Dingoo MVS torrent.  I have a HK Dingoo. I hope this will be solved. In the meantime I use FBA320 with Dingux which works great.

Have you tried running the same roms on a PC, using something like MAME or WinKawaks? It may just be the quality of the sprite on your rom, but I couldn't tell. I would definetly listen to dingoo-digital-usa, he knows what he is doing and he knows all the answers.

Emulators and Ubuntu, together as one.
