GBA Emulator - Battery?
GBA games save data by saving data to a chip and keep in in the chips memory with a battery (at least most do). Any way to make native GBA save a battery file?
If you are talking about .SAV files the native emulator creates them. I don't know if they are compatible with gba emus for pc. But for i.e. I have created a .sav file in my computer (using VBA) to the game GTA Advance and copied it to my dingoo, than it worked just fine. This is the only way I know to make GTA Advance work in dingoo
Awesome. I know a lot of thngs will support quick save style save-states but I'd rather not have the option to save in a place that the original wouldn't let me save.
@Azm0deus - I played games with VisualBoy Advance from roms stored on my Dingoo. Both VBA and the native Dingoo emulator read and write to the same .SAV files just fine.
I just got VBA onto my Mac but cant save. A window always opens reading
"Error creating file Battery Saves/Pokemon Red.sav"
Then my emulator screen on the bottom says
"WROTE BATTERY"
I am very confused now can someone help me?
If you're talking about the GBA release, Pokemon FireRed, you wont be able to save normally. There is a problem with the rom, at least on the Dingoo. Play LeafGreen instead. Im almost certain the problem is the same on the VBA emulator.

Doesn't the emulator just put that info onto your flashram? I have nothing constructive to say. I'm still waiting for my Dingoo to arrive. I would like to know if this is a problem as a lot of the games I want to play had battery saves in their original form.
