Few noob problems
I'm done with the dingux idiot guide ( using Slaanesh' version )
I also installed FBA ( local/games/fba )
But dingux doesn't see them
I also have no clue how to turn off dingux without having to reset
Am I using the wrong version or something?
I spent a few hours messing around and searching for a solution
There isn't a shut down option ( at least not in the 3 dif. versions i've tried)
I did found some site that used to have a link to a shut down file...but its gone now
Anyways... I couldn't get FBA to work with toddler or warpedflash's version but've stumbled upon dinguxmb.
Looks very nice and I managed to get FBA start... but I couldn't change the option zip > cache...
So im stuck once again... gonna try again tomorrow
ps. i had 2 test roms for it... one was just a zip... and the other one was a "cached" rom
I don't know if you've all ready done this, but to add an item to dmenu you go to local\dmenu\themes\Base [or whichever theme you're using]and then open menu_emulators.cfg and add the entry for your file. You can just copy paste one of the menu entries in there and replace the filepaths to the file and icon you need.
FBA won't run as many ROMs as MAME, but will run some faster/better. I know it does CP1/2 ROMs, as well as NeoGeo. DonPachi is a good game that I know runs well on it. Good luck!
Forgot to mention before, to change the zip-cache option, make sure the file-names are correct, .zip = zip, .fba = cached. If the two files aren't both in the directory together, FBA will only be able to load one.
and as to your other quesiton, no, currently there is no way to shut off the machine straight from dingux, you need to restart and power down from the original os.
Thanks for your reply, it works now!
I only had the .fba file in it, so after i've read your comment i added the zip file too and that solved it!
Thank you very much!
There is a turn off option on local version 0.31.

at the right end of the dmenu you shoud find a turn off option. unsure of FBA. is it and emulator? emulators go in local/emulators.
