Can't get it to work
Hi.
I followed that Complete Idiots Guide to Dingux Windoze, and when i reset while holding B the screen turns black. That's ok.
I follow the steps, but when i execute the second command in the windows console my dingoo don't launch the flasher script. The screen remains dark, doesn't change at all. But in the windows console i get "DONE" in every item.
Any thoughts about the cause of this?
I'm truly sorry for the bad english
P.S.: My lcd type is ILI9331
Thanks for your reply. I'll try putting the files in a folder directly on C:
You don't have to move the files as long as you use the cd command (change directory) to navigate to the correct directory.
We're you definitely in the directory?
I tried again in another location, and here is the log:

Everything seems to be alright to me, except the screen remains black.
ty for trying to help me.
If someone have a clue, please tell me. I would really like to install dingux
I have exactly the same problem, it all goes okay but the screen stays black! I have tried it on serveral machines some using XP and some with Vista and the same thing happens every time, just a black screen, it's driving me nuts to say the least!!!
Areyou changing into the directory or just pointing to it? I'm not sure if it would make a difference right enough.
I get this:
C:\Users\Casimir\Desktop\dual_boot_installer_20090916>
A lot of people are having this problem so I'll try to help get to the bottom of it, I'll keep my eye out for a fix and post it up if we don't figure it out.
In my case the files from the dual boot installer are directly inside C:\dual\
ex: the file location of "zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9331" is C:\dual\zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9331 in my pc. So when i run cmd I execute the command 'cd C:\dual\' to change the directory. Is this right, or am i doing it wrong? I told you before that I am a noob right?
then i execute the command:
usbtool-win 1 hwinit.bin 0x80000000
at last:
usbtool-win 1 zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9331 0x80600000
Ive spoke to Cas over at AVForums about the exact same issues.
My Dingoo was bought last week (ILI9331_3), black version and i have exactly the same issues. Ive also tried to reflash the unit and the recovery tool doesnt work either.
Ive tired the process on XP, Vista and OSX and none work, i get the same blank screen when its meant to boot into the flash screen. Ive installed, removed, re-installed the drivers (both new and old) and nothing works.
This is extremely annoy fault. Seems to be an issue with the Dingoos USB mode.
I don't know if this is important but my lcd version is ILI9331_3 too (wondering about "_3" part)
I must say that i've tried to install dingux with USB_Boot.exe in another computer and when i execute the command "boot 0" the screen turns white, then i type 'load 0x80600000 zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9331 0' and at last 'go 0x80600000 0'. The screen stays white, no flashing script...
Ive read on other forums of guys having the ILI9331_3 versions but it being fine. How old is the system you purchased? Im thinking that it may be an issue with a recent batch of units.
So much effort, is it worth it? GP2x Wiz is feeling more and more attractive.

Just to make sure are you in the correct directory in dos wehere your dual boot loader is?
For example if you've extracted the folder on to the desktop it should be like this:
C:\User\Azm0deus\Desktop\(name of the folder, i.e. dual_boot_loader)
That is the problem I had at first, make sure you are in that directory.
