Vista SP2/Windows 7 Fix

All you need to do is download this file, USBSTOR.sys. This version is taken from Windows XP. Rename the original just in case.

The file goes in C:/Windows/system32/drivers/

Hope this helps a bunch of you!

Maybe that's not a good way to get file from other operating system to fix the windows 7 bugs. --------------- John Masters Organic Hair Care

 As much as you could

As much as you could consider this a, "solution" this is not acceptable, where are the vista/7 drivers at? XP was released 9 years ago, and two new operating systems have been released since. I can't get the device to read under Linux, or Vista, when is some real support for this device going to come out? I've spent quite a bit of time browsing to forums and I have yet to find a solution to actually get this working correctly. Has anyone any ideas besides using XP? I do not own an XP machine, I haven't in years. Anybody at all?

well

im no XP user no for quite some time now, and plug ins, add ons, and other systems are quite unreadable nowadays. maybe hackers are not as effective now as much as before. but what the heck, if we all stick to spontaneous and working stuff, we dont have any problem.

Not Working!

Hello!
This stuff does not work for me!
Windows 7 Professional(Original Product), is on my computer, 32 bit.
rewrote the file, but does'nt change, NO recognize the USB!

Please, somebody help me, because I can not use my Dingoo!
Thanx!

Thanks

That worked great! Thanks a lot.

windows 7 RC 64-bit RC user needs a copy of USBSTOR.SYS

Does anyone out there have a copy of the 64-bit version of Windows 7 RTM that they could share a copy of the USBSTOR.SYS file from? I think that's the only way I'll be able to get my Dingoo to connect on my Windows 7 machine.

technabob

gadgets, games, gizmos and weird science

I can confirm that Windows 7

I can confirm that Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit commercial release versions will see Dingoo no problem.

Only the beta and RC versions had this unsigned driver issue.

64 Bit

Damn! Unlocker does not work on 64 bit systems!!! Does anyone know a similar tool which can unlock the USBSTOR.SYS? Help me please!

Win 7 RTM fine here too.

Win 7 RTM seeing my Dinggoo A320 with no problems.

Cool!

Is there a way to transfer

Is there a way to transfer a dingoo programing from one dingoo to the other?

I have crazy issue. I have two dingoos.

One has a broken r button but runs dingux!

The other dingoo has a working R button but i cant seem to flash dingux on it. It has some strange issue where it says firmwarE failure and it wont run dingux. it seems  to a rising issue amgonst new dingoo owners.

JUST AS NOTE OF WHAT I HAVE DONE TO THE DINGOO WHO CANT RUN DINGUX, YES I HAVE REFLASHED THE ORGINAL FIRMWARE USING BOTH RECOVERY TOOL AND DUAL BOOT, YES HAVE USED BOTH INSTALL METHODS, ONE  FROM COMPLETE IDIOTS GUIDE TO INSTALLING DINGUX AND THE USBTOOL.EXE METHOD, AND YES I HAVE THE CORRECT LCD IMAGE AND NEWEST DUAL BOOTER, i HAVE FLASHED  MY CARD MUTIPLE TIMES, AND REFROMATED THEM AND EVEN USED DIFFERENT CARDS.

IF YOU WANT TO SEE PICTURES GO HERE TO THIS FORUM FROM ANOTHER PERSON WHO HAS SAME ISSUE

http://a320.freeforums.org/post9424.html#p9424

BUT MY REAL QUESTION IS "IS THERE A WAY TO TAKE MY DINGOO'S (THAT RUNS DINGUX) SYSTEM PROGRAMING TO TRANSFER IT TO MY NEW DINGOO (THAT DOESNT RUN DINGUX)? BASICALLY TRADE OUT ITS FIRMWARE AND SYSTEM CONFIG! OR IS THERE A EASY WAS TO TRANSFER R BUTTONS?

Instead of posting this as a

Instead of posting this as a comment for something which has very little to do with what you're asking why don't you just create your own topic in the forums? It'll probably get more attention there too. So could you please delete this? It really is quite irrelevant.

i have im just flooding every

i have im just flooding every one to get a response quicker

 well i doubt that'll help.

well i doubt that'll help. just be patient. we all have lives we have to go live.

OMG!!!!! It really works!!!!!

OMG!!!!! It really works as instructed. As mentioned in the reply, just rightclick the original USBSTOR.sys in WIN 7 and use unlocker to force rename it as USBTOR.BAK or whatever name you want then replace it with the downloaded USBTOR.sys and now it works like a charm. I am using Build 7100 Win 7 RC fyi.

Didn't work for me

installed SP2

copied new usbstor file into win/system32/driver location

Dingoo not recognized still in vista sp2

when i plugged dingoo in it wanted drivers for Jz4740_usb so i installed them.

All device manager says is "USB mass storage device" but with an error it seems

so what's my problem with it not working? should i find drivers for something else?  Anyone with vista 32 how did it work for you?

It worked for me at the first

It worked for me at the first try.

Did you use Unlocker to rename the existant usbstor.sys into something like usbstor.bak first?

Because only then, you will be able to copy the XP version into the directory.

i'm using windows 7 build 7100

i'm using windows 7 build 7100 but the driver instalation failed. i have a winxp vm just for dingoo operations, but i get lazy about having to start it and then i give up dingoo'ing.

What do you mean by failed?

What do you mean by failed? First replace the file then plug the dingoo in and it should recognize it properly. If you did not replace the file it won't be able to install the device.

replaced file but not working.

I've done everything the instructions have been posted.  I get an error 10 unable to start device after replacing the file with the xp file usbstor.sys.  Using Vista 32 bits and service pack 2.  Tried uninstalling the device multiple times but will not work.

What's the problem with Win7?

I just got my Dingo A320 with v1.1 firmware. And I heard about all the problems with Windows 7, but I decided to try it all the same with my Windows 7 RTM machines.

I had no problems accessing the A320 as either a USB Mass Storage Device for copying files, or installing the Boot mode driver to flash it for multi boot.

What problems are you guys facing?

 It works with Windows 7

It works with Windows 7 Build 7000, but anyone using a build newer than that will have problems. The device is not recognized and the dingoo freezes when plugged into the USB port. It gets stuck on the startup screen and the reset button must me pushed.

Yes, it does work on Windows 7 RTM *7600

It also works on later Builds ut on the actual RETAIL version of Windows 7 which is RTM 7600 works perfectly fine, just as plug & play

Mines x64 Ultimate, no issues

The only version that had issues was RC 7100(not sure of later in between version before 7600)

What I have: iPod Touch 1G 8gb, iPhone 3Gs 32gb, GP2X Wiz, JXD1000 8gb
Finally got my *White Dingoo A320!! =)

still having problems.

I am using vista 32 bits with service pack 2.  Followed the instructions and replaced the usbstor.sys file.  I get an error code 10 not able to start device.  My computer won't even recognize that the dingoo device is attached to the system.

If you tried it with SP2

If you tried it with SP2 earlier and it tried to install it as something else you might have to go into Device Manager and uninstall it so it will be installed with the new driver. If not then I'm sorry I have no clue. Someone else might though.

Problems replacing file

If you are having trouble renaming the original or replacing it try using this program:

Thanks!

Thanks! I will try when I get home but I don't think it will work for Vista or Windows 7 64 bit

Yeah well, it works great for

Yeah well, it works great for me on Vista 32 SP2 :)

Thanks a lot !
